STAGE 1 – UNPLANTED

This is the SEED token. It has the possibility of becoming a plant: something common or something super rare.
For every SEED token sold, we will plant 1 physical tree or plant at the Smart Village in your name to regenerate the forest and the ecosystem
When the time comes for us to plant physical plants at the smart village, you will get the option to plant your NFT SEED as well (instructions will come then).

STAGE 2 – PLANTED

Once you plant your SEED, your NFT will permanently change to reflect one of the many plants in our permaculture design. Which plant your SEED becomes is totally random.
Some tress or plants will be used to make buildings, some will be consumed, others may grow over the span of centuries and become massive.
If you choose not to plant your SEED, it will remain a mystery.

STAGE 3 – GROWN

Over time, the SEED will grow and change. Some SEEDs may aquire new features: a hemp plant may become a brick in a hempcrete building. A tree may get a treehouse built in it.
As time goes on, we may add new types of rare trees and plants. If you haven’t already planted your SEED token, yours will have a chance to become any of the new plants.
You can choose to collect all the different types of plants that SEEDs can become. The rare ones will be hardest to get.

Yes we did, and that’s why we delayed the launch 2 days. But after a lot of thought and an unbelievable amount of tech fanangling, we realized that OpenSea just doesn’t provide enough support to the Polygon ecosystem to make the initial launch of our NFT viable (auctions, payment with accessible currencies, ease of purchase). That said, plans are in the works and in the next several weeks we may see those features added, but not in time for our raise and the property purchase. So, the plan is that we will release STAGE 2 and STAGE 3 on Polygon. Not everything you’ve heard about cryptocurrencies is true. Yes, currently Ethereum and Bitcoin are on a “Proof of Work” model to validate all transactions, which means the energy consumption can be quite high at times. But that said, cryptocurrencies have done a lot of good for the world, and very soon they will no longer have the environmental impact that they currently do. This year the Ethereum foundation plans to switch Ethereum over to a “Proof of Stake” model, which means very soon, the energy consumption of one of the biggest cryptocurrencies in the world will shrink to a very tiny fraction of the energy that it currently needs to function. This will revolutionize the crypto industries and make many, if not all the nasty things you’ve heard about NFTs virtually disappear.

In the meantime, new platforms like Polygon, Cardano, and others have already made the switch and are proving that this model can indeed be environmentally sustainable.

Because of the nature of our project, we are temporarily forced to build the STAGE 1: UNPLANTED portion of our project on Ethereum during it’s “proof of work” phase. However, when we enter STAGE 2 and STAGE 3 of the project, we will have fully transitioned over to the “Proof of Stake” model, and won’t look back. We care deeply about the environment (that should be obvious based on the nature of this project), and hate that we have to compromise in this way to raise the remaining money that we need.

We have heard your concerns and continue to listen. But the truth is, without NFTs and the wonderful community of activists and environmentalists within the decentralization movement, we would not have the opportunity to build this project and create the living labratory that we hope can be a testing grounds for new regenerative systems and technologies. We believe this very type of project is what cryptocurrencies have been building towards and striving for, and we hope to have your understanding that the system we use, and ourselves are not perfect, but we’re working in the right direction.

In order to purchase and store the SEED NFT, you will need 3 things: some ETH, a wallet that can store NFTs, and an Opensea account.
First, you need to get some ETH. You can get it from an exchange or directly from a wallet provider. This differs depending on your country and bank. Check your options here. Keep in mind that some exchanges have lengthy verification processes and won’t let you withdraw your crypto for several days or longer.
Next, you need to install a wallet that can hold NFTs. If you already have ETH on an exchange, we recommend Metamask, but you can choose from a list here. Instructions for how to set up Metamask are here.
Sign up for Opensea and connect your wallet.
